Lens Impression
未だこの個体以外は眼にしたことがないレンズです。
レンズ名から、ＴＶ画像をスキャンして撮影するためのレンズと考えられますが、ビデオのなかった時代ですのでＴＶ用フィルムをスキャンしていたのかもしれません。
いずれにせよ、優れた平面性が求められる特殊レンズであったものと思われます。
レンズ構成は不明ですが、85ｍｍレンズとしては異様とも思える最前面のレンズ曲率のキツサガ目立ちます。
描写は開放では柔らかなフレアが乗ったやさしい画像で、周辺部は画像の乱れが残っています。少し絞ると急激に固い描写となり、かなりエッジの立った画像となるようです。
まさに、目的に沿った性能といえます。
I have never seen the same lens except this one. Possibly, it was used
for taking photo by scanning TV, or might be used to scan TV
film directly.
At any rate, this lens should be made with strict requirement of sharpness
and field flatness.
Its lens composition is unknown, but very sharp curve of front glass is
remarkable as 85mm focal length.
The description of this lens shows a tender expression with a subtle flare
and a little disorder around peripheral area at full aperture.
But getting steeply sharp and hard expression as closing diaphragm. This
lens was definitely made for its purpose.
